I have spoken to lots of people over the years who rent villas in Florida and most don't realise that it gets very cold. During the winter (Jan/Feb) the average daily temp is around 70F and higher but it could also be 45F it depends whats going on up North, if they have heavy snow and cold air it means we will probably get some of that now and again. Yesterday and today are around 75F but last week it was 50F during the day and 29F at night so very cold. It's very difficult to heat 10,000 gallons of water to 85F when the air temp is only 50F. I think in the winter (Jan / Feb) guests should be told how a pool heater works and then if it gets cold they would understand why the pool is not as warm as it should be. There are a few Orlando villa communities that have natural gas pool heaters which are not effected by this but not many.

We had people in our villa in 2010 Christmas that insisted our pool was faulty as it wasn’t warm enough for them. It was in the 30-40s outside that year.
They said it should have been hot. Couldn’t get through to them about outside heat

I just got my green Anole and a Cuban Anole the other day and I have them in the same tank they are always together and I actually dont know if the one is a cuban Anole because the other night it was green after dinner it was brown and before i went to bed it was green again now ance I woke up it is brown again idk wat happened but I know I will take good care of the little things.

I have this spider on my back porch. Can’t bring myself to kill it, however it has what looks like three round (egg?) sacks . Don’t want themn to hatch all over the place. What do I do with it? Help!

I have in shrubs outside my door in Bonita Springs FL. Very pretty, neat webb also glad to hear they are not dangerous.

Just saw one of these outside a window in Wesley Chapel FL. It has been working on an interesting spiral shaped web for some time now. Very large spider. Glad to hear it is not dangerous.

Stories seem to repeat themselves, I too have found one of these spiders in my back porch. Took a picture and looked up on google to see if they are poisonous. They are quite breath taking. I guess I shouldn’t worry according to all the positive feedback of this remarkable creature..
